  • Continue Master Plan vision and encourage use of new Flex Code unanimously created by Council in 2012.

  • Continue Work with Parks and Recreation to create bike and pedestrian paths throughout the town

Community and Professional Activities         


  • Helped to establish the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce.                         -

  • Past President and Secretary of American Business Women Marbella Chapter.                        

  •  2004 appointed to serve on the Steering Committee for Brunswick County’s “Brunswick Tomorrow.”

  • Serve as Alternate Member on the WMPO Transportation Board

  • Serve as Co-Chairman, Transportation Oversight Committee                                                            

  • Very active in the community from the ballparks to the schools, her church to the  annual Leland Founders’ Day, the NC Christmas Festival, Parade and Scholarship Pageant.  

  •  Completed Essentials courses in the last few years with the UNC School of Government through programs in Creating Economic Growth Opportunities, Government, and Leadership.

  • Elected Mayor in 2011.

  • Elected to the Leland Town Council in 2003.

  • Chosen to serve as Mayor Pro-Tem in 2005 and served in that capacity until 2011.

  • Member of the LelandPlanning Board in the 1990’s and servedfor 9 years, and served as

  • Chairman for 6 of those years.
